Reservations FAQ

So that you are able to enjoy the full Fat Fish experience, we kindly ask that you arrive promptly for your reservation. Tables will be held for up to 20 minutes from your reservation time

For tables of 6 pax or less please use the DinePlan online booking facility  on our Contacts Page.  DinePlan will send through an sms or email notification to your device and give you a 24hr reminder of your reservation.  If your party is larger than 6 pax please call your restaurant of choice directly.

Bookings are essential for both The Fat Fish restaurants. However, please note that tables on the terrace in Plettenberg Bay and in the garden in George, cannot be reserved and are strictly on a first come first serve basis as both these areas are weather dependent.

We will go out of our way to ensure you have a fabulous evening but in no way can we pre-book “a particular” table for you.

Yes we do and for good reason!  We have a Diner’s Club Platinum Award Winning Wine List that is a complete labour of love!  However, if you have that very special bottle saved up for an occasion you are more than welcome to bring it to The Fat Fish.  Corkage is charged at R50/btl.

Most definitely!  The Fat Fish a family restaurant.  We stock activity packs and baby chairs are available.

Yes, they are.  We even have a wheelchair available at The Fat Fish in Plettenberg Bay  to assist those with disabilities.  Access into the restaurant in Plettenberg Bay for those with a disability is via the back of the restaurant.  Please contact the manager on duty for assistance. Unfortunately our George restaurant doesn’t have a disabled toilet.

As much as we love our pets, our restaurants are unfortunately not pet friendly

Not a problem for groups of 10 or less!

December is silly season in Plettenberg Bay!  Bookings for this period open on the 1st October.  For groups of over 10 pax a deposit will be required to reserve your table.  During our peak trading times we run two sittings with a turnaround time of 2 hours between sittings.
